Eating: Death & Life

The words we use to talk about food, or how we eat, are very important. Popular food terms include: carryout, fast-food or grab and go. Each of these terms or phrases offer a sense of “quickness” related to either way the food is prepared or how it will be consumed.

Sometimes, eating quickly or on the run/move is not the best way to enjoy food. This past summer I had the opportunity to visit a farm to table establishment overlooking the Tuscan hillside: Cervoli. When I say farm to table, I mean everything we ate was grown, processed and prepared on site.
