Holy Trinity is a great place for youth of all ages to learn and grow in God’s love.
Sunday School
Sundays | 11:30 am | September - May
Holy Trinity has developed a multi-faceted hybrid Sunday School program for children in 1st through 6th grades. It includes weekly videos and age-appropriate activity sheets or lessons to be completed at a time that works best for each family and a monthly in-person class that also includes lunch for children and their parents or caregivers. To have your child(ren) participate, email the church office to be added to the distribution link for materials and receive the link and passcode for online aspects of the program.
Youth in 7th and 8th Grade participate in Confirmation instruction (see below). High school youth participate in regular small group discussions often in combination with a special program or activity. The discussions explore how faith is relevant to their daily lives and why and how people of faith are called to act for those in need.

Confirmation
Confirmation instruction is provided to 7th and 8th graders through an in-person class held approximately every other Sunday at 9 AM. The class is supplemented with weekly online instruction from Holy Trinity’s 7th and 8th grade teachers and “check-in” conversations with the youth. Confirmation is celebrated on Pentecost Sunday.
First Communion
Holy Communion is open to children who understand the meaning of the sacrament, with no minimum age requirement. Parents who believe their child is ready to participate in Holy Communion are given a short booklet to work through with their child and then the parents and child attend a one-time class with the Senior Pastor to ensure the child is ready to participate.
Youth Service and Fellowship Activities
Youth ages 10-18 enjoy service and fellowship activities throughout the school year, planned by our youth ministry team. Recent service projects have included collecting, sorting, and packing clothing for the annual Gifts for the Homeless program (5th-6th graders) and assembling “flood buckets” of supplies needed to begin clean-up after flooding is experienced for Lutheran Disaster Response (High School class). Fellowship activities have included Nationals games, movie nights, game nights, and more. The youth also work together on fundraising projects, with proceeds used to send our High School youth to the ELCA Youth Gathering that is held every three years. That event brings together 30,000 high school youth and their adult leaders for a week of interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship that challenges and inspires the youth to live their faith in their daily lives.
