Sept 20: GWOH Power Packs
This year for God’s Work, Our Hands, we will once again be building Power Packs for Food for Others! Shop for items on your upcoming grocery trips and place donations in front of the altar. Then join us (wearing your Living Generously shirt) on Sunday, September 20th after worship as we build the packs! We need EVERYONE for this full congregational effort. See item list and more info.
Sept 21: WELCA Salad Supper Kickoff
Holy Trinity Women of the ELCA (WELCA) will have a combined circles salad supper kickoff on Monday, September 21, 2026. It’s the kickoff to the Women of the ELCA Gather Magazine Bible Study for the program year. Miriam/Lydia Bible Study meets on the third Friday of the month at 10 AM. Naomi Circle meets on the third Sunday of the month from 5:30-7 PM.
Sept 21: Theology on Tap Returns!
Pull up a chair on Monday evenings at Northside Social for Theology on Tap! Pastor Mike is hosting an informal, open-floor discussion where no question is too big (or too small). Sept 22: State of Our Community Discussion
At a time when the news can feel overwhelming and the needs in our community seem to be changing by the day, it can be difficult to know what is really happening beyond the headlines. Join Holy Trinity for State of Our Community: Trusted Messengers in Troubled Times, a candid and timely conversation with four nonprofit leaders who work on the front lines of some of our community’s most pressing challenges. Sept 26: Food for Others 5K & Fun Run
Ready to hit the ground running in the fight against hunger? Instead of our Oktoberfest Fun Run at Holy Trinity, we will be participating in the Food for Others 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, Sept. 26th at the PenFed Plaza at Tysons Corner Center. There will also be a Fun Run and family activities for all ages! Interested? Simply email the names of registrants to Pastor Mike.
Additionally, there are too other ways you can support this event!
Sponsorship - We already received $600 to secure a pretzel/donut table at the event. But what level of sponsorship can we get to all together?! Donate through our giving page under Food for Others fun run.
Volunteering - Can’t run or donate? Consider signing up to volunteer! Volunteer roles include setup, registration, course route support, and refreshments.
Sept 30: Faith Outside the Box
Faith Outside the Box will meet by ZOOM on Monday, Sept. 30 at 7 PM. "Journeying in the Wilderness: Forming Faith in the 21st Century," by Terri Elton, examines five altering forces in today’s society and provides a pathway for congregations to reimagine faith formation in the midst of 21st century realities. Oct 16: Red Cross Blood Drive
Save the date for our next blood drive on Friday, October 16th in Fellowship Hall. There is currently a National blood shortage and all blood types are urgently needed. Sign up for any time slot between 10 AM to 3 PM. Just an hour of your time can save a life.
Oct 18: Fall Fest for Families
Bring the whole family out for Fall Fest at Pastor Mike's house! Join us on October 18th from 5-8 PM for an evening packed with autumn fun. We’ll have the grill fired up and the fire pit glowing for delicious s'mores. Costumes are fully encouraged. See you there!
