Monthly Mission Project: Power Pack Assembly
We are excited to announce a new mission initiative: Power Pack Assembly to support our local youth through Food for Others. The Power Pack Program (P3) sends weekend meals home with students in Fairfax County who rely on school meals during the week and may not have enough food on the weekends. Each pack includes meals, snacks, and drinks—helping children return to school on Monday fed, focused, and ready to learn. Together, this program supports about 3,800 students at 44 schools each week during the school year.
Our first post-worship assembly will be Sunday, February 1st. The plan is to continue this program and have monthly assemblies after worship on the First Sunday of the Month.
Stay after worship to help assemble—or contribute items! Donations of the following are welcome:
Breakfast
Oatmeal packets
Individual-size cereal
Granola bars
Nutri-Grain bars
Lunch/Dinner
Chili cups
Single-serving mac & cheese cups
Tuna or chicken salad kits with crackers
