Support Justice High School Students
Justice High School has reached out to our Holy Trinity community for urgent help. Many students and families there are facing increased economic and personal challenges. We are invited to provide essential food, clothing, and financial support.
About Justice High School: Formerly JEB Stuart High School, this Title 1 school serves a diverse student body from the Falls Church, Culmore, and Bailey’s Crossroads areas in Fairfax County. It has 81% minority enrollment from over 70 countries, with more than 50 languages spoken. About 40% are English-language learners, and over 65% qualify for free or reduced lunch, with economic hardship estimates as high as 75%.
While poverty has long been an issue, recent policy changes have intensified student hardships. Cuts to resources, family separations, and fear in the immigrant community have created new challenges, making student and family support more critical than ever.
How to Help:
Amazon Wish List: Order food and personal care items delivered directly to the school social worker via this link or the button below. This wishlist can be used throughout the year.
Gifts Delivered to the Church: Donate new or gently used winter clothing (adult jackets, sweaters, jeans, leggings, sweatpants, socks) and gift cards for groceries or Uber/Lyft (for rides or food delivery). Please place these in the marked box in the Narthex with the last pickup being Sunday, November 2nd.
Let’s stand together to support these students in their time of need. Please contact the coordinator, Christine Hegemann (703-608-1966), if you have any questions.
