There’s a place for you in our music program—whether you love to sing, play an instrument, ring bells, or simply want to try something new. Our choirs, handbell ensembles, and instrumentalists bring a wonderful mix of musical styles to our worship and community. Led by experienced and encouraging directors, our groups are places to make music, grow your skills, and build friendships along the way.

Christus Choir
Find Your Voice. Make a Joyful Sound.
Whether you’ve sung in choirs for years or you’re looking to rediscover your voice, the Christus Choir is a welcoming place to make music, grow your skills, and connect with others through song.
The choir is directed by Josh Brown, a versatile musician, classical baritone, and experienced music educator. Josh has performed throughout the DMV, including at the Kennedy Center and Washington National Cathedral, and has taught and conducted singers and musicians from kindergarten through adulthood. His broad musical experience and passion for teaching create an encouraging environment where singers of all experience levels can learn and grow.
Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7:30–9 p.m., September–May

Hand Bell Choir
Ring, Learn & Make Music Together
There’s something special about making music with handbells—every ringer contributes a unique sound, and together those individual notes become something beautiful. Whether you’re an experienced musician or have never picked up a handbell before, Christus Bells offers a welcoming opportunity to learn, make music, and be part of a musical community.
The ensemble is directed by Erika Johnson, a versatile professional musician whose experience spans cabaret, musical theater, orchestral performance, and contemporary music. Erika was the drummer for the Pulitzer Prize-winning, pre-Broadway production of A Strange Loop at Woolly Mammoth Theatre and an on-stage band member in Signature Theatre’s acclaimed Girlfriend. She is also a percussionist with DC’s Great Noise Ensemble and has served as principal timpanist for the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra.
No previous handbell experience? No problem. New ringers are welcome, and Erika can help you learn the fundamentals and find your place in the ensemble.

The Praise Project & Wind Ensemble
Bring Your Instrument. Make Your Music.
Whether you play brass, woodwinds, piano, guitar, bass, percussion, or another instrument, there’s a place for you in Holy Trinity’s instrumental music ministry. The Wind Ensemble and Praise Project offer opportunities to share your musical gifts in worship while exploring everything from traditional hymns to jazz, Gospel, blues, and contemporary arrangements.
Both groups are directed by Greg Bloy, a versatile musician with a background in organ, saxophone, keyboards, jazz, and ensemble performance. From playing with jazz ensembles at Oberlin Conservatory and Penn State to performing with touring bands, Greg brings a broad musical perspective and a love of bringing musicians together.
Whether you’re an experienced instrumentalist or looking for a welcoming way to reconnect with your music, come make a joyful sound with us.
