GREG BLOY, ORGANIST/PIANIST & INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLE DIRECTOR

Greg Bloy studied organ performance at Oberlin Conservatory, where he played saxophone with the Oberlin Jazz Ensemble, sang and played recorders with the Oberlin Collegium Musicum, and composed award-winning music for harpsichord. He continued his studies at Penn State, where he received a Ph.D. in mathematics while studying organ, playing in the university jazz ensembles, and gigging in many bars. At Michigan State he performed and recorded Anglican music in a six-part vocal ensemble while completing his M.S. in computer science. During graduate school he performed in many semi-professional and touring bands in Pennsylvania and Michigan on saxophone and keyboards.
